Introduction

"This was a very interesting, educational and most importantly fun activity. We were really surprised and pleased with what we were able to accomplish in such a short time. We encourage other students and teachers to get involved in these types of projects if they can. You will definitely enjoy them." - (FICA Technology Class)

This Visual Basic On-Line Activity is designed to incorporate the collaborative efforts of two technology classes at the Senior High School level. These classes include Integrated Systems 1205 and Communications Technology 2104

The purpose of this activity is to provide a valuable online resource for the students as well as anyone else as it relates to Visual Basic, an application development software tool that represents a vital component to both of these courses.

The theme will focus on designing and developing a number of small, easy to build, easy to follow Visual Basic applications that will aid in a greater overall understanding of both the interactivity and functionality contained within the Visual Basic Environment.

Each of these small applications will apply the major functionality of the software while teaching the students the requirements needed to complete their term and final projects for the associated courses involved.

Seeing that it is a collaborative effort, each class will develop custom applications that will provide additions to the online resource thus, initial collaboration between classes will present a clear direction so there is no duplication and the online resource can reach its maximum potential within the pre-defined time constraints.

The collaborative efforts have produced ten (10) Visual Basic Activities that have varying degrees of difficulty that cover the majority of the fundamentals of the programming language. These activities are illustrated on the left as well as the "Executables" are available for download on the Download page.

Feel free to use or modify these activates as you see fit. Enjoy
